What is Puggles?

Puggles is our support group for children who have a sibling who has died. Kids of all ages can come along, and you can join no matter when you lost your sibling.

We usually enjoy activities for a wide age range, like craft, playing, journalling, and kids’ yoga.

There’s also always food!

About our support group facilitator

Hi, I’m TJ Withers, and I run our Puggles group in Brisbane. At QUT, I study how trauma affects children’s and teenagers’ brains, feelings, and behaviours, to help kids find what they need to cope. Through Red Nose, I’ve trained to understand the different ways of grieving, and how to support families after loss. I volunteered as a youth group leader for 10 years because I love working with young people, and I also volunteer in advocacy for trauma survivors.
